Team building

This is not how Melanie would choose to spend a Tuesday morning.
The waterproof trousers and cagoul are not a good look and she can feel her hair trying to revert to type in the grey mizzle.
She’s not even in the cool group, with the buyers, the ones who get to go abroad and everything.

No, she’s with Kevin, Graham and weird Steph, who everyone knows only has a job here cos her daughter is having it off with one of the senior managers.

Kevin bustles back from the task briefing, clutching a pile of newspapers and a toy car
“we have to build a bridge and travel the car across it”
He seems excited, enthused, Melanie sighs.

The rest bend towards the task, Melanie notices that both the men have balding spots and Steph has terrible dandruff.

She picks up a sheet of newspaper, finds an article on nail art and starts to read.

This was written under the following constraints

Must be a complete story
No more than 150 words
Must include the following, a newspaper, a bridge, a girl called Melanie.
