If you can read this, thank a teacher

This blog aims to celebrate reading, writing, story telling and much else.
And I can do all of this thanks to the many teachers who helped and supported me from kindergarten to post graduate study.
So, today, I took industrial action to protest against the governmental onslaughts on my profession and the constant tinkering and dismantling/rebuilding of the education system.
Remember if you love words as much as I do, you probably owe a debt of thanks to a teacher somewhere.
